Mota came to Greensboro College in the summer of 2015 and quickly turned the Pride women into a dominant force within the conference.
_ _
After posting 10-win seasons in each of his first two years, Mota led his team to a 16-3 record in 2017 to set the program mark for best record and most wins in a season, a record that would only stand for one season.
_ _
In 2018, Mota’s squad finished the regular season with a 16-0 record while going 7-0 in conference play to capture the program’s first regular-season title in 15 years before falling in the tournament semifinals.
_ _
With the loss, Mota’s team finished with an overall record of 17-1.
_ _
The Pride women all but rewrote the Pride single-season record book as they took the top spot in total points, points per game, goals, goals per game, assists, assists per game, and goals-against average.
_ _
However, Mota’s teams did not stop there as they also set program single-game records for total points, goals, and assists.
