Excuse me, but what the (insert 4 letter word here) is a “street team.” Does anybody care? Whatever happened to the coaches making the rounds?

Anyone know if they are going to make visits to DFW, Austin, San Antonio, etc.?

From what I can gather, it’s a group from the AD that goes around with posters and other “goodies” that tries to drum up support for season tickets.

But, I agree that it would be nice if they could at least get an assistant out to those appearances at Lucky’s Pub if nothing else.

It would be nice if they could make it to Missouri City, Katy, or Pasadena. Love it if they expanded their reach beyond the Houston city limits as there are fans across Texas and in Louisiana, but the budget must not allow it.

It is marketing, it can be effective and I’m glad we are giving it a shot. Plus, I assume those visits are all sponsors too.

Other than their travel expenses (let’s face it, they could drive up to DFW, Austin,
SA, etc. for peanuts) the alumni club in DFW and to my knowledge Austin and SA,would pick up the tab for their lunch. Alumni would pay their own way for lunch/beverages. Just saying. I realize it’s a matter of priorities. But for example, we did have at one point, nearly 10,000 alumni in the DFW area.

Exactly. This would be a good idea for UHAA to work with local alumni orgs and set these up.
