Well Deserved. She’s got one more year as well and may go down as the best Cougar softball player ever.

Heebner was named to the Second Team after being tabbed to the NFCA All-Region First Team for the Central Region on May 17.

The native of Sedalia, Colo., collects Houston’s sixth All-America honor and first since 2014. Cougars Angel Shamblin (Second Team), Jessica Valis (Third Team) and Laurie Wagner (Third Team) each collected All-America honors in 2008, and Haley Outon (Third Team) garnered the distinction in both 2012 and 2014.

Heebner’s All-America laurel is also the fifth for the American Athletic Conference and first since Emily Watson of Tulsa was named to the Second Team in 2017.

Houston was one of five programs in the state of Texas with an honoree, joining Baylor, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas State, Texas Tech.
