Herman continues his loving ways

I’d really appreciate it if anyone on the current staff at the University of Texas Football team besides Craig Naivar , Jason Washington or Kyle Coats would keep my name out of there mouth and continue to bad talk me or any other junior that decided to leave early.

We lead your team the best we could before making a decision to better our families. Which I believe you would do the same.

If you really “loved” your players the way you portray then you wouldn’t continually talk bad about them behind closed doors. Bad mouthing us to our brothers who we played for and cried and sweat for way before you stepped on campus.

Kept my mouth quite about this, it’s the complete opposite of my personality but it has to come to an end. It’s been a continuous thing for far too long. - Da Joker

Yep…Horn Coach didn’t have a great relationship with some of the guys that were there before him. Lot of them were loyal to Strong and Horn Coach’s ego can’t handle that.

Sort of did the same thing when he got here…lost quite a few players when he was hired. Not the main reason, but some of the reason for the lack of depth right now.

For someone whose capable of being a great coach he’s shown a real lack of maturity for someone his age.

Holy moly…the replies to those tweets are hilarious. The fact that horn fans are worried about the effect on recruiting is even more hilarious. They wouldn’t be worried about a transfer’s tweet unless something is going on at the 40 acres.

What’s hilarious is that Texas only has 1 season since 2009 where they won more than 5 Big XII games.

I played golf today and a guy said he liked my UH hat. His partner said “yeah y’all were pretty good until we stole your coach.” I told him that only narrowed it down to Baylor, A&M and Texas. Ended up he was a Longhorn and he seemed disappointed that his quip was not enough to convey that.

should have asked how that was working out for them, lol!

Too soon…hopefully the streak continues this season and keeps them in the irrelevant category. I prefer UH go to a NY6 bowl and make UT fans reluctant to talk football with Coog fans.

True that!

Interesting note. I received an IM from a SEC guy today about this.

Looks like Elliot deleted his Twitter account

Elliott wasn’t the only one going off on the coach today:

Of course, Foreman can’t be all likeable; when informed that Herman did win the American in his first year as a head coach, his response:

Entitlement comes in many forms there in Austin.

herman never really won anything as hc?

i guess that peach bowl win vs fsu and aac conference title doesn’t exist then.

Herman is a dick. He preaches loyalty and then bails when it suits him better.

That being said, when people say stuff like “he hasn’t won anything as a head coach” or “that he is immature for his age” it comes off as hypocritical because when he was winning a conference title and looking like a complete jackass here, fans were all on board because we got results and national attention.

Like I have said, he is a shameless self promoter.

If he loses Orlando, he is done and he knows it…hell, he might be done wih Orlando, but he better hope that Orlando is not done with him !!

maybe I’m in the minority but i like head coaches who are hardasses especially if they win. herman is a great hc and a guy i would have my kids play for. he changed the culture while he was here and made it fun. Levine and Applewhite are too soft spoken for my liking.

That was just Longhorn fan saying that right?

Also, I knew little about him before he took the job at UH. He was like a young politician…wore the UH hat celebrating The OSU Natty, took on a common enemy in 610 AM Sports Talk, took UH to a NY6 Bowl in Year 1 and proclaimed that Coog Nation was back. We thought we had a champion for our cause and then figured out this politician is just like the others…in the pocket of lobbyists and money / self-centeredness were the root of all of his actions. I figured he would not be here long (learned from the Briles / Sumlin years) but thought it would be for more than 1.5 seasons. In hindsight, the signs were all there but I did not read them correctly.

Let’s see how it plays out in Austin now.
