Per Berman, on twitter. Maybe this means we will see Kopp or Massoud get some snaps next year.
I was always worried he might get playtime over others because of his dad being coach. Great to see that’s not going to be an issue. Best of luck to him.
Damn, I was hoping it was Dana.
Logan must’ve been told he wont be #2 next year
Logan was a UNT commit and had some MAC offers before Dana got the UH job. I suspect he’ll be at one of those schools or FCS.
I guess I can understand him wanting to play. But I’m also surprised a little that he wouldn’t want to finish his career at UH with his dad.
Hbu might be an option? its in town and since they lost zappe they are looking for someone
You’ve got to be kidding.
With all the negative nancy’s incessant complaining about his dad’s job performance and his salary and his playing of his son as a back-up, I would have to think that Logan would be much happier to go play someplace else - like North Texas or UTSA or Texas State - rather than to stay here at UH and be subjected to all of the fan-board criticism.
Certainly there is no loyalty or respect among Coogfans - as witnessed by the vitriol spewed toward UH FB’s illustrious alumni - aka the Briles family.
Would he even need to enter the portal for an FCS school?
It would be kind of cool if he ends up starting for a school we are scheduled against…I’m still hoping next year we get to face King in a NY6 game.
Best of luck to him. Must have been a really hard decision.
Reel him in Jess. No need for that negative talk.
The optics of this are amazing.
I am betting him and dad came to an agreement. Young Holgy has talent but probably not for this level.
With Kopp coming in we now have someone who can compete and be developed.
That said I appreciate what he did for our U under so much pressure and wish him well wherever he ends up!
That’s the way I see it. He may be the coach’s son but he likely has only three years of football left in him and he may be good enough to get serious playing time at another school. He can always chug Red Bulls with Dad after college football is over for him.
It’s not like Briles ran a program that committed multiple felonies or anything
Some Coogfans, WoodMark, not all…Coach Briles was my friend and I will ALWAYS be grateful for his 6 years here, because he saved our FB program.
As for young Holgy, i wish him best of luck and that he finds a school where he can play.
you just can’t leave the hate alone. Logan came here as a walk on to play for his Dad. When called on he did his best for us despite the hate and insults directed at him on this board. I thank him for his time here and wish him nothing but the best going forward.
Definition of a win - win.
Little H gets a shot at playing real minutes at an appropriate level for him. And he’s gotten excellent experience at our level. He filled a glaring void for us.
Now holgy gets to get his recruits to step up.
Good luck to little H. Will follow his career with interest.
