MCNEESE

McNeese will meet Houston Tuesday with a 4-11 record.

The Cowboys opened Southland Conference play last weekend with McNeese earning a series win, 2-1, at home vs. Central Arkansas.

Shane Selman leads the offense with a .294 average, 11 RBI and five home runs.

The pitching staff owns a 5.82 ERA and has struck out 129 and walked 71 in 133.0 innings.

Zach Rider owns a 0.00 ERA in seven relief appearances and through 8.2 innings, he has fanned 12.
Tyler Wesley started vs. the Cougars a week ago. He is 1-1 with a 4.50 ERA.

SERIES HISTORY vs. MCNEESE

Houston and McNeese will meet for the 67th time in program history, dating back to 1971 and the second of two meetings this season as the two teams met on March 7 with the Cougars earning a 13-9 win.

The Cougars own the all-time series record at 52-14.

Houston is 10-6 all-time in Lake Charles, La.

1 out back to back singles; the 2nd hits Bond in the neck, but he’s able to continue after they check on him. Bond then walks the next batter on 4 pitches to load the bases. Bond K’s the next batter, but walks the next one to force in a run…Coogs lead 1-0

And that will be it for Bond. Doesn’t sound like he’s doing well after getting hit in the neck. It’ll be another long night for the bullpen. And, holy crap, it’s Clayton Aguilar on to make his collegiate debut
