The extension includes a capital investment by IMG to add full 360-degree LED ribbon boards at TDECU Stadium. The current sideline ribbon boards will move to the end zones of TDECU Stadium with new end zone to end zone ribbon boards installed along the sidelines prior to the 2017 home opener vs. Rice on Sept. 16. In addition to the second-level ribbon boards, two additional LED field level boards will be added in TDECU Stadium to give the stadium six field level LED boards.
The extension also includes the development of 800 feet of LED video and ribbon boards at the Fertitta Center, the completely renovated basketball arena, set to open in the fall of 2018.
Awesome, that is exciting. I like we are adding ribbon boards to the new Fertitta Center in addition to extending them in the stadium and providing more field level boards. Sounds like âPower Conferenceâ stadiums to me.
Great news.
McCormack was the industry legend for many, many years. In many ways sports advertising/representation is âhisâ creation. He changed professional sports to a level never seen or even thought possible. It is no coincidence that WME bought them for a few $Billions.
IMG has their arms wrapped around college football (more than 90 Universities) and is a partner to the shorthorn network andâŚCFP.
