Houston Travels to Face Memphis Thursday (L 91-85)

just like the football team lost to utep in 09…we coog’ed it tonight.

We had at least five three pointers dip in and out. We typically make those…and if they’d fallen tonight, we win.

Not too bad of a loss. Will allow CKS to ride these guys harder about keeping their heads on straight.

Ranked for the 1st time in forever and losing when favored is cooging it

Tigers could not miss. They are usually horrible from 3 (30%). And can’t shoot FTs (<70%). But tonight they could bounce it off the cheerleaders and it will still go in.

Memphis had TWENTY-NINE from the FT line. Hard to play when you can’t play D without getting hit with tons of tricky tack calls.

Too many misses within 5 feet of the basket too

Many folks on here seem to need some cheese to go along with all that whine.

Agreed, it’s tough to win on the road especially when everything goes right for the home team. Sampson will use this keep this team on track…

2 things:

1 - Tigers couldn’t miss
2 - Devin Davis might have been our best player over the last couple of weeks. It hurt not having him on the floor for the majority of the game. White is going to be good, but he’s no D Davis.

Sure helps the home team when you have a large crowd. Hope next year the new place will be a packed den.

All you need to know about how our night went…their 50% free throw shooter went 9 for 9.

on tv the arena didnt even look full. enough with the excuses.

Mock if you want, but perception just went back to pretender instead of contender that has been the story the last 2 weeks

Havent seen attendance numbers, but if it was full, that would be the 1st time in a long time (although still much higher than ours)

Who cares what the perception is? All that matters is that we brush this loss off and finish strong. We can win the rest of our regular season games and then hopefully show up for the AAC tourney. We will be fine…

not to me. But we generally lose in Memphis. It is a tough place to win. And this group of refs were not very good. If anyone thinks Memphis wins on a neutral court you will see in Orlando that they don’t. We are still going to be in the NCAA’s. 3 games left to win before the tourney.

These kids are tired after the stretch that included two ranked team and a bubble team in temple.
This sucks but is not surprising. Team need some home cooking and rest .

This was one of those games where the stars aligned and everyone on Memphis was feeling it. They could of thrown it up from half court and made it. Think about it their 53% FT shooter made 9 in a row. They shot 23% better than their season average from the 3 point line. Got plenty of foul calls And with all that going for Memphis we only lost by 6. I am not worried we will be just fine. This was one of those games were the other guy plays on fire.

Who cares? The causal fan that might show up to support a winner. Another opportunity to build a fan base blown.

Sick of hearing this. Heard it after Cincy loss. Hear it even after some wins. Lets face it, we foul a lot. Almost every game. Different refs and we almost always get called for a lot of fouls.
