Houston vs. Rice - Game 3 in Sugarland (W 7-2)

Graham’s handling of pitchers is a bit “old school” and a head scratcher at times…Let’s put this one away and leave no hope for a late-inning comeback!

No scoring in the 8th. Going to the 9th still UH 7 - Rice 2. UH has scored every other inning tonight so they are due for a run in the 9th. Already 2 out and no one on.

Graham is milking this last game in Houston for all it’s worth: 8 pitchers so far through 8.2 innings. And he is on his 3rd catcher. I feel for the people that had to make a long drive to Sugar Land.

Sort of. Weird non call at end. Everybody celebrating apparent win at mound and Rice’s final out swinging & half way to dugout when suddenly he sprints for first. Nobody covering first so he’s safe!?! Confusion. Umps talk. What happens? We have a do over. A mulligan. 3rd seinging strike never happened. Get to full count and finally swings for third strike. You sure ump? :smirk:

It ain’t what it used to be, but a Silver Glove Series win is always sweet.

Good to win the Silver Glove back! Wins away from Schroeder have been so hit or miss that I’ll take all of them I can get. Ryan Randel has been outstanding since the Tulane series.
