How hard was the TSU starting pitcher throwing? I coached that kid in high school and as freshman he was pretty good for them last year. I think he was named preseason pitcher of the year for the conference.

Not sure. This next week should tell us a lot in regards to who will round out the staff with the three games at Minute Maid and then games Tuesday and Wednesday. If we donât see Lafond or Aguilar, my guess is we wonât see them this season.
Hurdsman was supposed to go last week against SHSU and Bielo started last night even though he pitched over the weekend. I honestly think Bond should get a shot at the midweek rotation spot considering how he pitched last night and his performance against the Aggies last year.
Villarreal also didnât get in a game this past weekend which was a little strange. Heâs only pitched once so far so I hope he isnât hurt. Rooney does love himself some Pulido and Henry; both have pitched in 4 games while Ott and Bielo have 3 appearances so far.
I agree with you on Bond, but I was also anxious to see young Lafond on the mound for us since he was probably our highest rated recruit. But I certainly will trust the coaches on this oneâŠ
