If you play an uptempo offense you have to couple it with a very aggressive defense. The uptempo offense is going to make sure that the games are long and unless you have 2-3 deep on defense, you have to be uberly aggressive. So what if you give up a cheap touchdown? With the length of the game and lack of depth, a cheap quick touchdown does less damage to your defense than a bend and don’t break defense that, because of the lack of depth, breaks anyways.
