Gotta wonder if this has anything to do with picking Memphis

He was always going to Memphis once Penny got hired. Penny brought him to Memphis as Wiseman is from Nashville originally.

Gotcha. Just looking on Memphis forums, apparently Penny helped him out in high school. Whatever that means

Wow

“his lawyers said”
Man, this is getting interesting.

Can you really be a booster for a highschool if you are the AAU coach? He didnt pay the school directly… he got him there for his team not the schools.

This may be the only case of one game and done. He’ll go to the draft now

Reminds me of Tito Horford and Akeem (at the time.) NCAA did the same thing, ruled him ineligible and he went to LSU. Although Akeem never helped finance his move and was never declared a booster.

Wiseman is screwed. Penny did this before he was named coach. Only Memphis jersey you’ll see him in will say Grizzlies.

Penny invested in this kid as an AAU coach. This was known the whole time and now they do this?

MI recall that. Seems that LSU boosters kidnapped Tito the night before signing day. Of course, Dale Brown being the LSU Coach was the older version of Penny Hardaway.

Crooks gonna be crooks !!

Actually, Tito ended up playing for Miami.

Yes, he did play at Miami, but he went to LSU first.

Dale Brown had him in Baton Rouge within hours of the NCAA decision.
