He’ll be a pro.
What round are we looking at ?
Great thread. He is a major bright spot for this season. He is very good. At this rate he will be very high. Good luck and good continuation Mr. Jones.
This is what I think as well. Could sneak into the second with a good showing at the Senior Bowl.
Joprior says stuff like this all the time but I believe he is right on this one.
We have a really good OL and josh has a chance to go pretty him. Heck would not mind the Texans taking him.
I hope he drops in the 3rd for the Texans.
I have mixed emotions about the Texans; I want to pull for them and for them to do well, but I can’t stand BOB and want him gone.
According to my brother … as do MOST ALL of the Texans fans on Facebook …
IT IS a DILEMMA … pulling for the Texans but wanting BoB and that dufus DC of his GWTW …
Yeah, I’m not a big fan of Dana but I reluctantly pull for UH
Really, you don’t like Dana? That’s news.
Two of 5 Oline AAs play in AAC.
Take a look at what Houston’s Josh Jones had to say about being voted a caption his senior year, plus more.
We were the first to offer him. He was offered in 2013. Tony Levine and his then recruiters can spot talent. That is for sure. Alabama and other powerhouse programs have special adviser nationwide. Their budget allows for that. Bringing back Tony in that role (Chick-Fil-A) permitting and CDH agreeing that would be a major plus for us.
3. JOSH JONES, OT, HOUSTON
If the Ducks are flying thanks in part to Sewell, the Cougars are functioning solely because of Jones, their star left tackle who’s finished seven of their eight contests with the team’s highest overall grade this year. He’s just behind Sewell in every category as he’s 2.2 grade points lower than Sewell in the run game, 0.3 points behind him in pass protection and 2.5 points lower overall. If it weren’t for Sewell’s domination, Jones would be in the discussion for a PFF record-breaking season himself at this stage. All he’s done is dominate in pass protection and in the run game while making himself more than a viable 2020 NFL draft prospect in an otherwise down year for Houston.
Three of the ten are from schools considered in g5 conferences. If Jones is drafted first or second round (following Oliver last year) it should be a recruiting statement for the Coogs.
