Our offense had 50 total yards and 2 turnover in our first 5 possessions against SMU. Our defense was playing on it’s heels and even set up our only score of the first half with a fumble recover and return to the 10 yard line.
Nothing was exposed. Hicks had more yards passing in 7 other games. SMU had a good running game against us. We came out flat against Memphis and their passing attack burned us early and often in the first quarter. If something is exposed, other teams are able to use that but what SMU did with their running, no one else did. Not even Louisville and Jackson.
Was Alabama’s defense exposed against Ole Miss? Hardly …
