Lady Coogs defeated OU in Norman by the score 97-85.
This is a vastly better UH women’s basketball team than we’re accustomed to seeing on the court. They can score, play D and they are deep on the bench.
The afternoon game was televised on Fox Sports SW.
The team looked much improved. I was impressed by their depth…

OU may not have been the best competition on this day, but the Lady Coogs dominated the Sooners. Had UH won by only 1 or 2 points, then we could look back and question the quality of the victory. However, I watched the game and was amazed at the talent the UH team put on the court and bench.
It’s been a long time coming, but this Lady Cougar team may be the best collection of women basketball athletes I’ve witnessed since the Chandi Jones/Sancho Lyttle era.
Much credit must be given to the UH HC and staff for their recruiting efforts.
Any win over a named Big 12 school is a quality win. Good for coach and the players.
