Would like to see the university host one of these early season invitation tournaments. Might be a good thing to get the city hyped up for college basketball.
Would love that. Invite Houston area (extended) teams: Rice, TSU, SHSU, A&M, HBU, SFA, Lamar, PVA&M
Have to with hold judgement of this team until we play someone.
Defense looks good and we seen to have 4 solid starters.
Still no big man except by committee.
Seem to lack depth for Davis and DotsonâŠ
I absolutely cannot wait for us to show up in the Others Receiving Votes category. I have a feeling this team is on the right track.
Who is the back up for Galen? I am most concerned about the drop off when he has to sit.

With Mondayâs win, the Cougars will now face South Dakota in the Gulf Coast Showcase Semifinals. The Coyotes were an 80-77 winner over Kent State earlier Monday night.
The Cougars wrap up their stay at their tournament on Wednesday with opponent and game time being determined by Tuesdayâs result.
Following the Gulf Coast Showcase, Houston returns to the friendly confines of Hofheinz Pavilion to play host to Cornell at 4 p.m., Saturday.
I like Gray but he is a PG like Stiggers was a PG. Sampson needs to get some quality depth there in the next round of recruiting. He can still win a lot of games with this PG combo but it is not ideal.
