Seems Mrs. Khator’s salary was down a bit this year. UT and A&M, however, both raised the salaries of their top admin. Of course, Mrs. Khator drew a lot of crap last year for being the highest paid in the nation, even though she was holding 2 jobs, which many of the others do not. This year, she’s even more of a bargain considering, for example, A&M is paying their Chancellor and Prez $2.28M combined.

University of Houston President and Chancellor Renu Khator took in $850,960, making her the 14th highest-paid president in the country. Last year, she ranked first with $1.3 million.

She is worth every penny of it. McRaven was so bold that he thought his way out of a job.

I’ll add that Seth Payne and Mike Meltzer gave positive praise about the improvements UH have made over the years when discussing the Cinci win on Friday. Neither had to make the comment, but recognize how the school has improved. This is all based upon Khator’s leadership in making the athletic program a priority and alums wanting to foster this success.
