WHAT TO WATCH FOR
Houston’s top-2 finishers on the women’s side will each be in action on Friday when Selena Sierra and Maddie Brown enter the course. Sierra has been the top finisher in five different events this season, including a second-place finish in the season opener at the SFA Lumberjack Preview and an 11th-place finish at the Rice Invitational the following week. Brown won the HBU Invitation midway through the season when she finished the 5,000-meter race in 18:06.04.

The men will send three individuals to compete in the 10,000-meter race on Friday. G.J. Reyna will be in action for the Cougars after pacing the team in all five of the meets he competed in during 2016. Reyna finished in the top-10 in back-to-back weeks placing eighth at the SFA Lumberjack Preview and ninth the following week at the Rice Invitational. Matthew Parmley and Kody Anderson will also compete for the Cougars in the regional.
