BYU had 4 runners, but they finished 8, 10, 11, 12
score only 1 point.

Flotrack projections took away 9 points
they are basically out of the running. 3 school race at this point.

Tech loses one of their 2 triple jumpers after 3 jumps. Other is sitting in 3rd.

It would be cross country scholarships used for distance runners. We have one of the best coaches in the nation, but just haven’t had any big recruits there yet. I think we will keep getting better though. Getting any points in the steeplchase, 5k, or 10k in the future would be awesome to add to our sprinters.

I will add that Houston is terrible for distance runners. Too hot, too humid, no elevation. That is a big challenge. Still would like to see us beat out UT for guys.

Good assessment. Steve Magness is a very respected coach nationally in CC and distance. Elite distance runners will now look at us with more interest now that they realize they can win an individual and team championship her3.
