I don’t make this comparison lightly, his 2nd half of 100m races reminds me of how our sprint coach used to run…

Btw guys, if Patrick is back then I hand the throne back to him for T&F posting! I was just trying to fill his shoes over the last year or so.

We still need you FW! Let’s let pray10 ease back into this as he recovers. You have done a great job, keep it up!

 Not there yet, but wanted to start popping back in. Just enjoying the ride right now.

Will mention that Jordan dominates his heat in the 400m hurdles and moves on.

Quivell looked very good. DJ didn’t finish, it didn’t look like he was hurt though. Seems like he messed up his steps to the first hurdle.

Hoping that’s the case. His PR would not have qualified, so best to rest for the 110h. 400h is just brutal.

5 of 6 Coogs through in the 200m to finish off our night. Really good showing…hoping the women continue it tomorrow.

5 through in the 200m. Shaun once again stops running hard the last 10 meters and still wins his heat.

Sprint crew did some work today, have to come even stronger Friday. 4x100 at 5:30 to start things off. Women should have some good results tomorrow.

Hamberlin looked to good yesterday.

Very good. I’m interested to see if we roll out the normal 4x100 and who is on the 4x400. Collins, Shaun, Sumler, and Alexander have been out go to, but Alexander struggled yesterday and has fallen to our 7th best 100 guy. But Hamberlin and Booker have been on the 4x400 so I don’t think they want either of them running the 4x100, 100, 200, AND 4x400 leg! Brown would be the other guy as a possibility for the 4x100. Quivell Jordan is a possibility for the 4x400 too. Luckily we have great coaches so they will figure out what is best for prelims and the finals.

Tough to change relay teams this late in the season, timing is everything. But like you said, we have a couple of pretty good coaches who can probably figure it out. :sunglasses:

I found this link to a replay of yesterday’s action.

Y’all were right about Maswanganyi. Wow. He looks like he’s moving at half speed, he makes it look effortless. It reminded me of Usain Bolt when he would look around, shut it down early, and still be 5m ahead of everyone.

Shaun’s 100m is at around 1:15:00 on the video above. 200m is around 3:01:00.

Good find. I might screen record and clip the races tomorrow since he should actually run full speed the whole way!

Samuels advances to nationals in the long jump! I forgot about the hammer throw in my previous post, looks like Mikalia Martin will make it through but Scaife falls short. Howe does not advance in the pole vault.

Howe did have a personal best. Nice way to compete and end the season.
