That link says that he’s decommitted from Southern Miss and it’s predicting him to commit to Ol’ Miss. I guess that means he hasn’t signed anywhere.
Has the spring signing period ended? If so, I guess he’ll have to enroll to be fully committed, I think.
Looks like he’s a high school guy, but may have committed to Ms. Gulf Coast. He wasn’t on MGC’s rosters the last two years.
Maybe he’s a high schooler who had some qualification concerns, and since this is the end of the school year, maybe he cleared those hurdles?

Yes, it’s Gervarrius Owens. We recruited him out of high school. He’s pretty highly rated, the overall #58 junior college recruit. He signed with Minnesota after signing with Kansas State out of high school. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he’s our starting nickel back in the season opener.

Crossing my fingers we can get one of the guys from the secondary that it’s waiting on their waiver. But nice job from coaching staff retooling the secondary.

The juco transfers always seem to be better than the ones that come from silo tech and what not.
