The comment was about the movie…not the book. I read the book and was not comparing. I enjoyed the movie…fun, good action, and special effects for the time that is still enjoyable.
The book and movie were vastly different. The book explored great concepts.
The movie is camp in a crazy good/bad way.
I always thought the jump packs he described seems awesome. I think the game Warhammer 40k drew inspiration from starship troopers.
The shower scene was worth the price of admission!
