If every one of these are ranked when we play them, we have a legitimate chance at getting a title shot.

If by “title shot” you mean a chance to win an AAC conference championship then I agree with you.
However, if you mean UH receiving a “private invitation” into the college football Pay-offs then I really don’t know what to tell you - except that the odds of you winning a $100+ million lottery are much, much better.

By any objective measure, beating 5 ranked teams and winning the AAC should be enough to make it to College Football Invitational.
The keyword being objective.
