New turf - New Acadmic Facility and Dining Facility

Agree, please moderators at times threads become completely unreadable or you have multiple threads open that are the same. Can anything be done about it?

New turf:
BTW. There is no way that the turf be changed. Turf has at at least an eight years warranty. It is common to have a 10 rears warranty.
Envirofill is also a good infill. It kills bacteria at a 99% rate. Reduces the temperature of the turf by 20 to 30Df and it does not stick to you clothing. It is a natural product out of a quarry in Texas.

I checked with UH Facilities and the turf in the IPF is not being replaced. It is just fine. We are taking the artificial surface off of on of the practice fields and replacing it with natural grass. When that is completed we will have 2 grass fields and 2 artificial fields.

First thing I saw on that link is the use of the word “think” instead of “thank”. Is someone not reviewing these posts?

Much needed upgrades for those facilities.

WTH? Why?

Think @OldtimeCoog got the word a couple of months ago about the reasoning.

Maybe New turf had something to do with Acadmics

Maybe it’s a p5 sign? Can only hope we go back to grass on everything.

While me and the wife were waiting for our Fertitta Center Tour, I noticed the museum in the Alumni Center was masked off and being renovated. Is the new Cougar Den goin into that space? If so, where will all the memorabilia etc now be housed?

My understanding is that the memorabilia is being distributed to each sport so they can showcase it in their team areas.

Got it! Makes sense.

Thanks!

I like the idea of one central showcase. There’s even a comment on the Temple board by someone who was here for a game and went through ours. He was impressed.

I hate the idea of the memorabilia being split up. I took an out of town coworker through and all he said was, wow, I did not know. Yes, there were issues with the glass and the sun was doing a ton of damage. But couldn’t that be addressed?
