*Recap

Joey Mbu played 20 defensive and 7 special teams snaps in the Colts 23-16 loss to the Ravens. Joey made 1 tackle and continues to be in the rotation on the DL. The Colts are now 3-12 and would pick 3rd in next year’s draft if the season ended today.

Tyus Bowser mainly played on special teams in the 23-17 win over the Colts. He didn’t record a snap, but did play 2 defensive and 16 special teams snaps. The Ravens are 9-6 and currently alone in the 1st wildcard spot in the AFC, but have not clinched a playoff spot yet.

Case Keenum fought through the single digit weather in Green Bay and led the Vikings to a 16-0 win over the Packers. The shutout was the first Minnesota shutout since 1992. Case was 14-25 for 139 yards and 1 TD with 4 rushes for -2 yards. Biggest thing for Case was no picks and no fumbles in the cold temperatures. The Vikings remain alone in the 2nd spot in the NFC and still have a chance at the top spot.

Elandon Roberts had another solid week as the Patriots beat the Bills 37-16. Roberts had 6 tackles and .5 tackle for loss with reports saying that “the linebackers were prepared and stepped up”. The Patriots are 12-3 and would start the playoffs as the #1 seed in the AFC if the playoffs started today; they have at least clinched a bye in the first round.

Charles Sims continues to see limited snaps as the Bucs lost to Carolina 22-19. Sims had 1 rush for zero yards and 1 catch on 1 target for 19 yards. Tampa Bay is 4-11 and are likely to pick in the top 5 of the draft.

Cameron Malveaux continued to impress Miami’s coaching staff and watchers in Miami’s 29-13 loss to Kansas City. Malveaux played 20 defensive and 8 special teams snaps; he made 2 tackles and 1 tackle for loss in that limited action. Miami is 6-9 and will finish their season next week.

DJ Hayden continued to be in the rotation for the Lions in their 26-17 loss to the Bengals. Hayden made 1 tackle and was credited with a pass defensed. The Lions are 8-7 and were eliminated from the playoffs with the loss.

William Jackson III had another great day and some are considering him one of the top CBs in the league this season. In the Bengals 26-17 win over the Lions, Jackson had 1 tackle and was credited with 3 pass defensed. He’s solidified himself as the starter and as a lockdown corner in Cincy.

Brandon Wilson continues to make plays as a special teams player in the 26-17 win over the Lions. Wilson made 2 tackles on 22 special teams snaps. The Bengals at 6-9 on the season and will finish up next week.

Wade Phillips had the Rams defense humming in the Rams 27-23 victory over the Titans. The Rams D held the Titans to 97 yards on 26 carries and held Mariota to 22-39 for 275 yards and a pick while also sacking him once. The Rams, at 11-4, have clinched the NFC West and will finish as either the 3rd or the 4th seed in the NFC.
