Unis that UCF will be wearing against us this year. I would hope that we would also wear something relating to space considering how close NASA is.
As I said before it should be the Space Bowl every time we play.
Why no one thought about marketing the mess out of that is asinine
The biggest uncertainty heading into this week is who will start the opener at quarterback for the Knights. A four-man competition at the end of spring is down to three with the news that Darriel Mack Jr. will be out for an extended period of time as he recovers from surgery after breaking his ankle earlier this month.
Brandon Wimbush, Quadry Jones and Dillon Gabriel will compete for the starting job during the next few weeks.
Wimbush, a graduate transfer from Notre Dame, is the only quarterback with previous experience as a starter. He led the Fighting Irish to a 13-3 record as a starter before getting benched in favor of Ian Book in 2018.
Gabriel is a true freshman who arrived on campus in January and has impressed many of those around the football offices.
“Both of those guys are really in the same situation in terms of being around our offense. They started in January and they’re young in what we’re doing. They are extremely smart, quick-minded individuals who understand at a really high level,” Heupel said.
Sigh…hopefully, we can get back to seeing UH post these updates for football soon.
The 2019 home schedule is highlighted by contests against Stanford on Sept. 14, Houston on Nov. 2 and War On I-4 rival South Florida on Nov. 29.
Due to high demand, at this time the only way to secure tickets for the rivalry game against South Florida is to purchase season tickets.
With South Florida using its entire visiting team allotment, there will be no general public single-game ticket sales for this premier matchup that concludes the regular season.
Outlook: Coaches have raved at the dramatic physical changes many of the players have been through this offseason, noting the boost they got from a new weight room and nutrition center. That coupled with familiarity of the offense in Year 2 under Heupel should help the “UCFast” offense put up big numbers.
Nobody has as much experience in the offense as Milton, so identifying a strong starting quarterback is the most crucial element this preseason camp.
The players didn’t like how the last season ended with the loss in the Fiesta Bowl, with many of them using it as motivation heading into 2019.

UCF makes it.
“That fight is long, complicated, and always changing. UCF is now finding that there are tons of challenges along the path to earning respect from the Power 5.”
They are going to expand their stadium? Wasn’t there corrosion issues?
From the Underdog Dynasty article…as much as we want to forget that loss to UCONN, we still did lose that game so we can’t say that we were undefeated.
Instead of giving undefeated Houston a shot at a championship, they gave them the Peach Bowl. When Houston won the Peach Bowl they gave them a pat on the back, and said ‘Maybe if you’re perfect next season, then we’ll think about giving you a real shot.’ When Western Michigan went undefeated, the selection committee rolled their eyes at the thought of having to let a MAC team into a New Year’s Six game.
