I bet the Big Ten doesn’t want them in their conference. It’s only fluff to make the Big Ten schedule look tough.

Exactly. But, that also means BYU won’t have too much trouble filling their schedule as an independent.

Aresco would earn part of his paycheck if he could get a P5 conference to consider AAC teams as an equivalent for scheduling purposes.

I guess that would be the next logical step in the P6 marketing narrative.

7. Pac12 is always the first out of the playoff/invitational equation.

They need to push for expansion and a guarantee or they will fall even further behind.

If the AAC were to get BYU or BSU in football it would be a better conference right now arguably. Add then both and one other and there would be no argument.

Plus get VCU for basketball. Most definitely a legitimate argument could be made.

The AAC received 4 bids last year, the PAC 12 three. Maybe they’ll look more favorably on adding UH, but would probably need to wait until Big 12 contract expires in ‘23-‘24.
