Exactly. But, that also means BYU won’t have too much trouble filling their schedule as an independent.

Aresco would earn part of his paycheck if he could get a P5 conference to consider AAC teams as an equivalent for scheduling purposes.

Plus get VCU for basketball. Most definitely a legitimate argument could be made.

The AAC received 4 bids last year, the PAC 12 three. Maybe they’ll look more favorably on adding UH, but would probably need to wait until Big 12 contract expires in ‘23-‘24.

And split a small pie (relative to the other four P5’s) even more ways.
