No monetary value given in the article, guessing it’s not much.

I find this interesting. Will “twitter followers” replace “market size” as the new P5 expansion buzz phrase?

“Yankees teaming up with Amazon to stream games”

“The Bronx Bombers, working with tech giant Amazon, are gearing up to become the first Major League Baseball team to let fans watch games on their phones or laptops without a cable subscription — a bid to win over millennials who are cutting ties with cable TV, The Post has learned.”

Eventually everything will be PPV.

That’s interesting. Twitter would be a good place to test marketability of your lower brand teams or higher brand. Didnt read the post but I wouldnt want Twitter to put it behind a paywall.

Isnt New York a prime HQ and Bezos owns a building in Manhattan? It would make sense if hes partnering and New York gets alot of Amazon subscribers along with the marketability of the Yankees.

Wish we would pick up a side deal with someone to stream.

Conference USA was doing a lot of twitter streaming. I certainly watched more C*USA games than I otherwise would have. I’ll take our paycheck for putting them on ESPN+ instead, but it’s not a bad idea.
