CMA didn’t call plays during the season. Only the bowl game.

Agree with others, Mehringer would be a poor hire. 2016 stats for Mehringer’s Rutger’s offense - Ranked 78th overall, 42 TDs, 27.1 ppg
 If CMA doesn’t learn from his mistakes, then I don’t know what else to tell you other than 2019 expect a coaching search.

Our OC should be a well qualified coordinator with experience at running a quality offense.

CMA said when he was hired that the OC needed to coach QBs. If Guiton is moving to QBs, he probably will be the OC or at least co-OC. They could plug Vincent Marshall in as WR coach since he’s already on staff.

I hear this all the time and not just at UH. Last year A&M “didn’t have the money” to buyout Sumlin, and now they have $75 million plus buyout.

I have no idea how all the funding works, seems mysterious to me.

Regarding promoting the WR coach - if that happens - I think CoogNation will revolt. I do agree this needs to be a splashy O hire or it’s gonna be a tough sell.
