Picking the most underrated players in college football

WR: Linell Bonner, Houston. We already tabbed a low-volume big-play receiver for one wide receiver spot here in Weah. So, for the other one, let’s go the opposite direction and pick Bonner, a high-volume chain-mover. Six wideouts received All-AAC recognition last year; Bonner was merely honorable mention despite catching 98 passes for 1,118 yards and three TDs, putting him fifth nationally in receptions per game. According to cfbstats.com, only all-time NCAA leading receiver Zay Jones of East Carolina was responsible for more third-down conversion catches than Bonner. He also had as many as 17 catches in one game, a 235-yard outing vs. Memphis.

That is disrespectful of Bonner’s output. No mention of the acrobatic catches that Bonner is prone to make.

Agreed. Honestly,it’s sad that Bonner is on an underrated list at all, but life of a G5 I guess…
