Here are the top 10 G5 schools with the best (based on 247 Sports average ranking per recruit) recruiting classes 2016-19 including 2019 verbals. You can only infer so much as I haven’t taken into accounts transfers in and out.
So I would say, based on this that
our expectations of contending for the conference title annually is realistic
AAC is far and away the most talented “Outsider” conference.
lol Greg Ward Jr. should see some playing time tonight. We can start a new thread. I think everyone is interested in how we compare to others, as far as talent is concerned.
Here’s the top to G5 schools in recruiting based on average score per recruit from 2016-19 with the B12. Enjoy!

BYU has never been part of a P5 conference nor been invited to a P5 conference. They have however been part of two G5 conferences. So including them in the list of top G5 recruiting schools is more accurate when including them as a peer than not including them.
I think that they are on the same level as UH which is currently G5, the fact that they are independents does not make them P5 any more than New Mexico is P5 because they are independents.
So I included all of the independents as G5 caliber schools except ND because Notre Dame is consider on par with most mid to upper echelon P5 schools. BYU is not, even in a very good year.
