One of the owners of my employer gave me a free ticket some weekends back when they were playing Ok State and I didn’t see anyone being uncivil. Some frat boys in a party bus tossed a beer at @elviento and I as we left the 2014 Supers… but those games bring out more of the casuals than a Tuesday night one.
Trying to find who Texas will pitch tonight, and can’t find one. They’ve pitched a variety of pitchers during their midweek games…most haven’t pitched longer than 3 innings. Look for the Horns to throw an “all hands on deck” game tonight.
Guessing Lockhart will go for the Coogs since he’s been pitching well.
Interesting. Stevens made his first start/appearance of his UT career last week against UTRGV. Faced 8 batters, gave up 2 hits and hit 2 batters, but none of them scored.
Expect them to use their bullpen quite a bit tonight.
Hollis leads off with a single and Lockhart follows with a walk. With 1 out, Davis takes a 4 pitch walk to load the bases. With a 1-0 count to Bielo, Horns go to the pen
Leadoff walks to Coldiron and Minter. Error on the shortstop loads the bases with no outsHollis grounds out, Coldiron scores, Minter and Redden move to 2nd/3rd…Coogs lead 2-0
Groundout by Lockhart scores Minter, Redden to 3rd…Coogs lead 3-0
Horns lead off the inning with 2 straight singles. Ott hits the next batter (even though he didn’t pull the bat back on a bunt) to load the bases with no outs. Ott goes 2-0 to the next hitter, and Rooney pulls him for Villarreal.
Walk forces a run in…Horns lead 5-3
Wild pitch scores another run and moves the runners to 2nd/3rd…Horns lead 6-3
Walk loads the bases again, still no outs. HBP brings home another…Horns lead 7-3
That’s it for Villarreal. Hurdsman in now.
Error on Coldiron allows 2 more runs to score…Horns lead 9-3
Hurdsman induces a foul out and 2 Ks to escape further trouble.
