Anyone know anything about his 6’8" younger brother at Refugio ?

Not sure. I know his brother, Jamel, is going to Hardin-Simmons for football, but he’s only 5’10"

Maybe another brother or not related. During basketball season, I saw Refugio had a 6’8" kid named LaFond - Or maybe I was high !

Whatever happened with this kid.
Don’t see his name on the Roster.

I believe he was our highest rated recruit…

University courses are a lot harder than high school classes… I would’ve advised him to see what kind of signing bonus he was getting offered in the draft before committing to play college baseball. If it was 6 figures or more I think they should skip college and start working on their bid to be a pro… .

Just my $0.02.

Eat Em Up Coogs!

I hear he’s MIA

Hmmm not good. Pray10 what’s status on LeMond. Been like over 12 hrs n still no response from you.

Understand that part. That doesn’t tell me where he is

Never said I had any idea of where he is at…if I knew I would have told ya LOL…just reflecting he was one of our top recruits last year…

:joy: Sorry, family stuff that needed taking care of.

He’s gone. For whatever reason, didn’t work out. So hard to keep some of these baseball recruits.

To be fair, he wasn’t drafted.

Because he didn’t try to be, right?

He tried and would have gone pro if drafted high enough. Once the first 20 rounds were done, he then came out and announced he was going to UH even if he was drafted.

Big reason he wasn’t drafted was because he missed his entire junior year with Tommy John surgery and clubs wanted him to go to college first before taking a chance on him.
