Replay Film Review: Defensive Backs and Pressure

This could be my fault, but it’s implied at this point. People would rather attack peoples arguments that are contrary to what they believe. Suggesting that we have a personnel problem and a position coach problem is certainly suggesting it’s not a DC problem. Given that, it is safe to assume when they chose to highlight those variables he isn’t in control of, attack contrary points, and highlight what he’s doing ok with, then they are simply implying. Don’t forget what happened last season as well. There were those “guys” that came to his aide when we pointed out his flaws. The irony is that those flaws are back and are now giving up 63 points to a team that couldn’t move the ball on Ole Miss.

People cope with failure differently. Some people try to call it like it is. Others would rather deny, deny, deny… It shouldn’t be hard to accept the fact that we’re toast on defense. Some people haven’t came to that conclusion yet.

But, but, but, but…

They should have left him in Lubbock.

God bless you people who have time to eat this much tape. There’s a few things that watching tape will never ever tell you. You don’t know the call on the field and you don’t know the responsibility of the individual player. You think you know, but ultimately a kid could blow an assignment and not play the intended defense or responsibility.

Any changes made prior to the snap. Maybe they have a blitz and maybe it gets called off or maybe they should blitz and the player decides to back out and go into coverage.

Yes, you can say player X missed a tackle. That’s pretty obvious.

Very true Red but the Tape Ape’s on this board wont see it that way. For them it’s posing as an insider or someone who has knowledge of the game of which they are neither. Let em have their fun but don’t hesitate to correct them when they play the 3 man vs 4 man vs 5 man vs 6 man (etc) blitz analysis card.
