Yep, Gray was a DNP today.
Gray is playing today. Hard for him to make an impact as a 2 guard. A lot of selfish play. Hopefully he can get some minutes at the point and show what he can do.

Gray had 2 points 1 assist 1 rebound 1 steal and 2 turnovers in 9 minutes of play. He only took one official shot, a missed three, but did drive to the hoop and get fouled before converting his two freebies.
My feeling, based on the little I’ve seen, is that Gray is trying to be more of a traditional point guard during these games instead of looking for his shot. Hope that the Rockets are asking him to do that and he’s not restricting himself to that role because he thinks that is what they want.
Still at least two more games to go…just have no idea when they’ll be until after today’s games. Summer League starts the playoffs after today.
Rockets summer league schedule going forward:
Rockets will play Brooklyn, today at 2pm on ESPN2
- Lose and they will play their final summer league game Friday vs ATL/IND loser at noon
- Win and they will play Saturday vs the SAC/CLE winner at 12:30pm
If they defeat Brooklyn today, they will have the opportunity of playing 4 more games in a single elimination style bracket.
