The Rockets are super stacked at the guard positions this year, but I hope Rob gets some good minutes in pre-season games. We should get to see what he can do against G-league competition this year.

A lot will depend on this rumored trade. Might open up some space for Rob to find a spot. Hoping he gets signed to a 2 way deal, but the Rockets have guys in the 2 spots right now.

Jimmy Butler coming to Houston or the Rockets being involved in that deal in some way.
Thibs is asking for the moon and the stars in return. I don’t see what package Morey could offer, especially since Butler wants an extension for the max $190 million.
Yeah, this will come down to what the owner wants to do rather than what Thibs wants to do.
Still can’t believe Rob is a Rocket! I hope he has nothing but success. He deserves it for everything he did for UH. Hopefully Rob can get some teammates to go to UH games!

Rob saw some action tonight in the first preseason game and played in the last two minutes. Recorded 2 turnovers and a missed three.
What to watch: The star of the University of Houston’s outstanding 2017-18 season and tournament success, most of Gray’s work in the preseason will be at training camp and at practices. A first-team all conference selection in the American Athletic Conference the past two seasons and the conference’s all-time leading scorer, Gray was limited by an ankle injury to just 20 minutes with the Rockets summer league team. With Mike D’Antoni wanting to give his rotation players the bulk of the preseason playing time, Gray is unlikely to get much time on the floor against regulars.
