Big Ed also took over the No. 1 spot in Pro Football Focus’s weekly ranking of the Top 10 true freshman in all of college football.

DL: Ed Oliver, Houston
You could make a case for another freshman DT here (Clemson’s Dexter Lawrence or his teammate Christian Wilkins), but I’m going with Oliver. He leads all D-linemen nationally with 43 tackles and five pass breakups playing from the DT spot in a 3-man front. And his run defense grade of 89.7 tops all DTs, according to PFF. He also has nine TFLs.
