Yep, that was a strange vote as McMurphy is usually pretty fair. Jumping all the P5s ahead of us really hurts.
Maybe he is aware of ESPNâs deal with the big12 to do away with expansion.
I am not worried about A&M or Tenn jumping us temporarily because they will lose to Bama.
How about Pat Caputo from the Oakland (MI) Press, who has Louisville one spot ahead of Clemson.
In the end, I really donât care about the AP vote in regards to being 5, 6, or 7 this early in the season. I think most would have to believe that if we went undefeated but 4 undefeated power 5 teams still existed after conference championship games, those 4 undefeated teams most likely had a tougher road to 12 wins. Maybe there wonât be 4 undefeated power 5 teams though. So letâs get past Louisville undefeated and see where we stand. If any 1 loss teams jump ahead of us, then we have a concern.
