There is more to this⊠Ed Oliver is showing every top recruit in the country that you can go to an AAC school and still be recognized nationally. You can still be in the spotlight, and he will show you can still be drafted highly in the 1st round.
Thank you Ed for choosing Houston.
When are we retiring his jersey?
His jersey will be retired as soon as expeditiously possible and in true UH fashion that means who knows. Just kidding, kind of. #10 will be retired though,
Similar to the All-American guard playing for UTEPs football team. People will hear or see you if you are good/ great no matter the team these days.
Ed Oliver is so freaking awesome! I really enjoy listening to him talk. Heâs both humble and honest about how awesome is. Iâm really glad we at least have him one more year. He is such an ambassador for this team and I think it will really encourage others to come to U of H.
Roquan Smith of Georgia finished 10th with 3 1st place votes. No other defenders got votes. Thought Ed might have gotten some.
Ed will have to do a lot more to even sniff the Heisman, that is he is going to have to score or do something more than make tackles. He is a great player but history shows it will go to an offensive player usually. Ed would have to play on special teams, maybe run a few TDâs in on short and goal, etc etc to even have a chance
Little Fridge?? Good idea. Let him block at FB in short yardage
Let him run it in short yardage, thereâsno quit in Ed and the sight of him barrelling down on you would not be a good one for a defensive player.
Houston DT Ed Oliver: Wake up, people. Everyone sleeping on the Group of 5 needs to turn on the tape of Houstonâs prodigious defensive lineman and soak it in. The 6-foot-3, 290-pound sophomore does things that no 6-3, 290-pound person should be able to do. Even from the interior of the line, he makes plays. Just look at his stat line the past two seasons: 135 tackles, 37.5 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks, 12 passes defended, five forced fumbles and one blocked kick. If the Heisman voters sleep on him, youâd better believe the owners of the No. 1 pick in the 2019 NFL draft wonât.
2nd string? what is wrong with these idiots. I guess I answered my own question, they are idiots.
