Would have been nice to get another inning out of King but it is nice that he gave us a good six innings today considering how he has pitched the last few times out.

Nice to see King back on track.

Memphis leads USF 3-1 in the 6th (7 inning game). Hopefully the Tigers can hang on.

UConn lost today to UCF so they are 7 - 5 in conference.

If Memphis can hold on, USF would be 7 - 5 in conference.

If we hold on, it will be a two way tie for first with Tulane.

Bottom 7th
New pitcher for Tulane
Wong just misses his 4th homer and end up with a triple
Hollis hit by pitch
Julks singles up the middle, Wong scores, Hollis to 3rd…Coogs lead 11-2
Scheiner intentionally walked as the winning run is at 3rd due to the run-rule
Triolo lines out to center
Wild pitch scores Hollis…Ball Game!!

Coogs win the series 12-2!

Wong, you madman!

The umps not knowing the rules is a fitting end to this game.

This conference could justify five teams in the tournament. I am hoping we place four in the tournament.

The way it looks right now is

Houston - 1st Place Tie
Tulane - 1st Place Tie
USF - 1st Place Tie
UConn - 4th Place Tie
UCF - 4th Place Tie

UConn & UCF are only one game back. Another big series for us next week as we go to USF.

Have to give the team kudos. A lot of players banged up. Star pitcher gone. But still fighting to get it done. For a comment in an earlier email. Baseball is an endurance race. The season was not over after Friday night. It is not over after today. A lot of baseball still to be played. I have to say though I like the guts and determination of this squad. Need Davis to get healthy. And would be nice for Hurdsman, Henry and Bond to get it together down the stretch. All three are capable. Just need to believe and get it done.

USF is losing game 3 to Memphis, 3-1. I thought it was a 7 inning game, but that doesn’t appear to be the case.

UH and Tulane are in 1st at 8-4. If Memphis holds on, USF will be 7-5.

Maybe I was wrong but thought I heard on the play by play that USF won and was tied for first.

Hope you are right and I am wrong.

He also said they were playing two 7 inning games today.
