Yeah, that thing is hideous and is going to age very poorly with time. That’s unfortunate.
Yes, the new building design looks a bit boring but what’s going on inside is what’s important. And that’s developing doctors. 
We definitely dropped the ball on this one. The fact the board agreed to this type of redesign is perplexing.
I get maybe cleaning all those windows would be difficult or the cooling working harder to keep it cold but man this design just doesn’t do it for me.
Not sure about anything but judging on the scale of the drawings the second has a larger footprint, so less fancy but more useable class space perhaps

The new design does look like a larger footprint but it also looks like it’s 3 floors instead of 4 floors as it is in the original design.
The center building might be 4 floors. You can see it better if you click on the FIRST CLASS image article twice.
