A bright spot for the Cougars was the return of Bowser, who had a game-high 11 tackles, three sacks, 3½ tackles for loss and two quarterback hurries in his first game since suffering a fractured orbital bone before the Sept. 29 game against Connecticut.
“I had that mindset I wanted to come out and dominate,” Bowser said. “Being out (five) games, I felt like I needed to come back and do my job and bring back the energy that we had when we started the year with Oklahoma.”
