3.28.17 UH vs Incarnate Word Highlights

I used to look forward to them, but the new highlight videos are terrible. You can’t even tell what is going on.

I agree. You’ve got a partnership with the Valenti school, why not use them to narrate over the videos, or just let Branham do it, or just show the plays with Branham’s calls like they did before.

Either that, or add graphics to the videos to show what you’re trying to show. Lockhart drives in a run, put up a little graphic that says UH 6, other team 0. If Cumbie gets his 5th K, show a graphic that shows that.

They did sound very into the game; could hear them chanting after the Coogs scored. Hopefully they keep coming out.

• Houston’s Trey Cumbie threw seven shutout innings in an 8-1 win against Incarnate Word, stretching his scoreless streak to 19.1 innings. Cumbie allowed just four hits and a walk while fanning five. The sophomore lefthander gets my vote for best midweek starter in college baseball; he’s now 4-0, 0.74 with a 30-6 K-BB mark in 36.1 innings.

Sophomore Trey Cumbie continued his dominance, producing yet another scoreless start, tossing 7.0 shutout innings and holding the Cardinals to four hits and one walk with five strikeouts. The Lufkin, Texas native improved to 4-0 on the year in his sixth start and has tallied now 19.1 consecutive scoreless innings of work.

Freshman Carter Henry took over in the eighth before handing the ball to fellow freshman Brayson Hurdsman after two Cardinals reached via a hit-by-pitch and walk. Hurdsman finished his relief outing, allowing one run on one hit and one walk with two strikeouts in 2.0 innings.

I agree on the new video format 100%. Really enjoyed the highlights with the announcers calls in the past. I do not even open up the new ones anymore. What do you see, a pitcher throwing a pitch, a batter swinging the bat, someone running the bases with no understanding of what happened or when it happen to some music and no reference to the score. Makes no sense. Stopped clicking.
