It’s game day!
Go Coogs!!!
4:30 can’t get here fast enough
While the clock ticks slowly - it occurred to me that we ought recognize how well our schedulers have done - from Coach Sampson through the Athletic Administrators in setting the schedule this year. Even in the time of ____________ [that which must not be mentioned] they got three games in 5 days against increasingly challenging competition. Then the coaches get nearly a week to use those games as excellent teaching opportunities.
Even though today’s game is against a member of the dainty dozen, it still ought compute well in all the various algorithms used for seeding/ranking and it takes place in the arena where we play (hopefully!) the AAC tourney. Just seems generally nible and competent work all around
Yes if you win every game you will get a 1 seed. We can lose this game and still get 2 or 3 seed maybe even a 1. Bottom line is we are good and will prove that throughout the season.
If we do win it really sets up for a ton of national attention starting early in the season. That can help in recruiting. We should not be shaming anyone who is nervous about the game the same as not shaming others who see it as another game. Still remains to be seen how good tech is.
Just glad for the development of this team that we have gotten all 3 games this week.
Houston is a relatively young team. This is where we are going to miss Fabian the most. The mid range jumper and leadership. Dejon will lead some, but it will take a boat load of grit, to beat a really good a Tech team at home.
Tech fans very confident they will win on their fan forum we will see
Maybe not “run out of the gym” but the game at Oregon last year where the Ducks won pretty comfortably. But you’re right, it doesn’t happen too often. Credit to a great coach like Sampson.
Having Hinton would be nice too.
We are playing on a neutral court in Ft. Worth, not in Lubbock.
The Oregon game we actually lead at the half. Came apart a little at the end. The games we have been run out a few years ago at WSU and the game at Oregon that got out of control were games the team just wasn’t ready for the moment. Those games helped to develop the team.
Go Coogs! It would be very nice to get a win against Tech.
Team better be ready for road game atmosphere.
If jerreau could only finish…
Terrible. Lol
Jarreau cant finish it appears he has kind of digress even from last year he has been missing easy layups!!
Deekee shooting 3s is not what we want
Sasser!!!
That D is stifling!
Sasser #2!!!
