Tye was one of the special talents to come from Houston. I first saw her hoop for the Houstonians. She could do it all on the basketball court.
She sent me a “keep your head up” post on Facebook not too long ago.

Jackson is survived by her mother Tonice Henry and her sister Trina Taylor.
“Tye was not only one of the most decorated women basketball players to come through UH, she was also one of the most kind-hearted individuals you would ever meet,” says Senior Associate AD/SWA DeJuena Chizer. “She never met a stranger and would give you her last. Our thoughts and prayers are with Tonice, Trina and her family. Tye will always hold a special place in our hearts.”
