I don’t think Aggie’s upset because of the overall effects on college football.

Aggie’s upset because they assumed they would forever be the only team from Texas in the SEC.

But that was a naive assumption. Why wouldn’t the SEC want to expand in a state with 30 plus million people and growing and grab the biggest, most popular team in the state. Aggie doesn’t account for more than a few million of those potential fans.

I feel pretty safe in saying that Aggie wasn’t promised anything. And it’s assumption was unreasonble.
