Yeah, giving up touchdowns, by the offense or defense, has a way of skewing opponents PPG averages. On the other hand, we need to get our own defensive TDâs. How many did we get off turnovers last year. Off hand, I can only think of the one long INT by Parish.
Stuard also has one early in the season.
Coach has already commented in a Spring presser about the lack of turnovers forced so I think it will improve. I just donât want a guy to miss a tackle while going for an int or strip.
To me it depends on how consistently good the offense is, if we can score consistently then I absolutely believe we should be more aggressive in getting turnovers.
But weâve been really, really bad at TO"s the last couple years of we went to win it has to improve.

A few years removed from mostly solid defense at UH/AAC, his scheme should work well in the WAC.
