Volleyball Takes Down McNeese on Road 3-1

Behind a career-high 25 kills from freshman Abbie Jackson, the University of Houston Volleyball team took down McNeese on Tuesday night by a score of 3-1 (25-19, 25-21, 19-25, 25-18). The win for the Cougars (1-4) also marks the first Houston victory for Head Coach David Rehr.

Along with Jackson’s breakout performance, junior setter Abby Irvine dished 49 assists on the night, tying her career-high she set last weekend at the Flo Hyman Collegiate Cup. Houston’s defense was also put on display, as four different Cougars surpassed the 10-dig mark, which was led by junior libero Katie Karbo.
