Saturday’s contest will be prefaced by a all-sport clinic in honor of National Girls and Women in Sports Day. SCOUTING THE PIRATES
ECU enters Saturday’s contest with a 13-11 overall record and a 4-7 mark in American Athletic Conference play. ECU most recently defeated SMU in a 64-54 decision in Dallas. ECU is 1-8 when playing on the road this season.

The Pirates have a pair of players averaging double figures in scoring this season, including a team-best 13.1 from Lashonda Monk. Raven Johnson scores 12.9 per game to rank second on the team. ECU has won three of its last four games.

Houston: The Cougars saw two players reach double figures in scoring, including a game-high 21 from Branch. Hawkins added 12 points and led the team in rebounds with eight along with Barnes. Harris led four assists. Barnes has now hit at least one three-pointer in the last 15 games.

ECU: ECU finished the game with two players in double figures led by Raven Johnson with 16 points, following by Salita Greene with 13 points. Greene led the Pirates with six rebounds and three Pirates finished with three assists each.

* The Cougars shot 43.9 percent from the field, compared to 36.8 percent from USF. The Cougars force 17 turnover for its 22nd game this season forcing at least 15 turnovers.
