Coogs finished 3rd after today’s final round, just 5 strokes off the lead. Harm finished Tied for 3rd at -6.

Third place is very good considering the top competition. They improved play in each round.

I have a good feeling about the W. Golf team this season.

The even better note about this finish is that the 2nd and 3rd best players for Houston were Freshmen. Future is bright.

A day after senior All-American Leonie Harm tied her school-record low round with a 65, the Cougars took advantage of 17 birdies and an eagle for a 5-under 279 to move up four spots in the final standings.

Harm finished with a 2-under 70 on the 6,185-yard course and tied for third overall at 6-under 210 for her first Top-10 finish of the season and the 15thof her career. The Gerlingen, Germany, native overcame a bogey early in her round with sank three straight birdies on Nos. 16-18.
